PESHAWAR – Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday demanded that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur seek a vote of confidence from the assembly.

While speaking to the media in Peshawar, Faisal Karim Kundi stated that Ali Amin Gandapur has lost the majority and should take a vote of confidence from the assembly.

He mentioned that a Chief Minister with a two-thirds majority is avoiding the assembly, and the session has been postponed four times.

He added that the Chief Minister no longer holds a majority, and a no-confidence motion could be brought against him.

“I can officially ask the Chief Minister to seek a vote of confidence,” he said.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi further stated, “God forbid that I should block the summary of advisors and special assistants. Why are ministers and advisors being replaced? If they are corrupt or incompetent, why aren’t they being punished?”

He also commented on the education system, saying, “They claim that the education system in the province has become excellent. A bill should be introduced in the assembly requiring politicians’ and bureaucrats’ children to attend government schools. As long as I am here, I will not allow an inch of university land to be sold,”.
