Johar Qandhari, President of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), has called on the Sindh government to prioritize the allocation of development budgets for industrial zones, urging the Chief Minister to follow past practices in this regard. Congratulating the newly elected ministers of the Sindh cabinet, Qandhari emphasized the importance of addressing the challenges faced by the industrial sector.
He highlighted meetings between provincial cabinet members and Korangi’s industrialists, expressing optimism about the current cabinet’s potential to outperform its predecessors.
Expressing concerns over extortion tactics against industrialists, President Qandhari urged Provincial Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar to take decisive action to restore investor confidence. He advocated for the establishment of safeguards to protect industrialists and deter asset seizures, ensuring a secure environment for local and international investors.
