KARACHI – Rains and gusty winds are expected in Karachi and parts of Sindh on Friday evening/night and Saturday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from Arabian Sea penetrates central and southern parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over upper and central parts of the country.
Under these conditions, isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Karachi, Jamshoro, Dadu, Nowshero Feroz, Khairpur, Larkana, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Ghotki and Shaheed Benazirabad on Friday evening/night and Saturday. Hot and humid weather is expected in coastal areas and hot and dry elsewhere in the province.
Karachi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between on 34-36°C Saturday and 35-37°C on Sunday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 38-40°C on Saturday and 39-41°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in parts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.

Dadu remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 44°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 55 percent.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 73 percent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 72 percent.
