KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast the prevailing cold and dry weather to persist in Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh during the next two days.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
A shallow westerly wave will likely enter southwestern parts of Pakistan on Friday evening/night.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Karachi, Hyderabad and most parts of Sindh on Thursday evening/night, Friday and Saturday.
In Karachi, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 13-15 degrees Celsius on Friday and 12-14 C on Saturday.
In Hyderabad, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 11-13 C on Friday and 10-12 C on Saturday.
Dense fog/smog is likely to persist in Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Mohenjo-Daro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kashmore and Padidan during morning and night hours.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad and most parts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Mohenjo-Daro remained the coldest place in Sindh where the mercury dropped to 04 C.
Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 100 per cent.
In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 13 C.
Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 78 per cent.
In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 11 C.
Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 77 per cent.
Dense fog/smog prevailed in the upper districts of Sindh which disturbed traffic on inter and intra-city roads.
