KARACHI — A shocking incident has been reported in the country’s financial hub Karachi where a young man is in critical condition after eating a sandwich containing a metal earring.
The victim identified as Samuel said he got a sandwich from Imtiaz Super Store and he later suffered oral bleeding while eating the snack. The guy was rushed to a nearby laboratory, where an X-ray scan revealed the presence of earring pearls in his stomach.
To the shock of many, the management of the famous Super Store in the port city did not take immediate action to resolve the situation. Instead, they sent the man home without medical treatment.
The man got lucky as the metal pieces could not caused internal bleeding as it could have had more severe consequences.
After the unsatisfactory response, the man even filed a complaint with the Korangi Industrial Area police station. The citizen of the provincial capital is looking to move Consumer Court and Sindh Food Authority to ensure a thorough investigation and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Imtiaz Super Store is yet to share an official statement about the unwanted incident. A report shared by a digital publication claimed that super store administration started investigation and also treatment of the man who injured himself.
