KARACHI – Significant rains and gusty winds are likely in Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh on Friday night and during the weekend with occasional gaps.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal penetrate southern & central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave also prevails over western/upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, intermittent rains with few heavy falls and gusty winds are likely in Sukkur, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Jacobabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot and Sanghar on Friday evening/night and during the weekend.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 32-34°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 36-38°C on Saturday and 35-37°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, isolated rains occurred in Karachi and parts of Sindh during the last 24 hours. Hot and humid weather prevailed in most districts.

Dadu, Mohenjo-Daro and Sukkur remained the hottest places in Sindh where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. The maximum temperature in Nawabshah was recorded at 40°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 85 per cent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 78 per cent.
