The Jamaat-e-Islami Emir, Sirajul Haq has demanded of the federal and provincial governments take adequate measures to provide relief from inflation to the masses during the holy month of Ramzan.
Addressing Istehkam-e-Pakistan Convention here on Wednesday, he said the government should ensure availability of basic food items at half of the current prices in the holy month.
He said the masses had lost purchasing capacity due to unemployment and poverty which was result of the government flawed economic policies.
He said although the past rulers were also equally responsible for the deterioration in economy and other sectors, the PTI government proved more incapable.
