Jamaat-e-Islami Emir SirajulHaq announced a planned Gaza March in front of the embassy of the United States of America in the federal capital this Sunday.

“The event will serve as a resolute protest against Washington’s actions,” said the JI emir while addressing a press conference at Mansoorah in Lahore on Wednesday.

He pointed out that America’s staunch support for Israeli aggression served as the foundational trigger for the issue, emboldening the expansionist aspirations of the Zionist state.

He also issued a stark warning, emphasizing that should the ongoing atrocity in Gaza persist, the specter of a third global conflict loomed ominously over the world.

Haq underscored the pivotal role the international community must play, urging an immediate demand for a ceasefire from Israel.

Haq made a heartfelt plea to the religious scholars, stressing the importance of their active participation in the Palestinian cause and the upcoming demonstration. He highlighted the historical context, underscoring America’s track record of military intervention in Japan, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and its unwavering support extended to India and Israel. The JI also urged the government to be the true representation of the aspirations of the 250 million Pakistanis, necessitating tangible support for the oppressed Palestinian population. He pressed for the establishment of a dedicated Palestine Fund and the enforcement of a comprehensive boycott of Israeli products. He emphasized the weight of the Palestine issue in Pakistan, citing the unwavering position of the nation’s founder, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and its deep-rooted connection to the country’s ideological framework. The session was moderated by JI vice-emir LiaqatBaloch, who presented a joint declaration unanimously approved by the attendees.

Haq brought attention to the continuous wave of Israeli terrorism wreaking havoc upon the people of Palestine, detailing the relentless barrage of bullets pounding Gaza for the past 19 days, leading to the devastating loss of over 2,000 Palestinian children and women in the wake of Israeli airstrikes.

He emphasized that the issue of Palestine cannot be resolved through mere rhetoric and hollow proclamations from the leaders of Islamic nations, asserting that it demands a unified front, a steadfast stance, and concrete, decisive actions. He called attention to Israel’s long-standing oppression of the Palestinian people, stripping them of their homes and land over several decades.
