Jamaat-e-Islamiameer Hafiz NaeemurRehman on Thursday gave a four-day deadline to the Punjab government, saying that they will stage a sit-in outside CM House if the purchase of wheat was not started within four days.
Talking to the media at Mansoorah, he said that the Punjab governmentshould immediately withdraw the decision to purchase wheat. “We will notremain silent over the issue of farmers,” he added.
Hafiz NaeemurRehman said that no institution was safe from thedeteriorating economic condition in Pakistan. “Big industrialists are shifting their capital abroad. All countries give subsidy on eatables,” he maintained.
He said that the people who imported wheat worth US$1 billion should be exposed and a judicial inquiry should be conducted into the matter.
