Three students of Indus Valley School (IVS) have been selected to participate in the upcoming Heimtextil trade fair schedule from next week in Frankfurt. The students would present their work at the Heimtextil, the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles, said IVS press statement received here.
Earlier, the students from IVS had won the Design Contest back in 2011 and were sponsored for the trade fair by Heimtextil management. This year, three more students won the ‘New and Next’ student competition 2019, hence achieving an opportunity to present their work in this international fair.
The upcoming event, scheduled from January 7 to 10, will focus on the ‘textile designers of tomorrow,’ the statement added. As per the procedure, with the ‘New & Next University Contest’, schools that specialize in textile design were invited to submit design drafts by their students. —APP
