ISLAMABAD – Capital Development Authority (CDA) issued invitations to build ‘Kurri Enclave Housing Scheme’ in collaboration with a real estate giant.
The new housing society spanned over 10,000 Kanals is set to be developed in Kurri village. The land of housing society is owned by civic body but the project costing billions of rupees would be developed as a joint venture with real estate developer.
CDA will develop a consortium comprising multiple firms to make the housing scheme possible as capital continues to expand. The authority’s top board has already given green light to start housing projects in partnership with the private sector.
It has been learnt that the selected real estate firm will be responsible for investing in the development and planning of the project.
The outgoing premier also directed authority to prioritize vertical development for residential projects in order to maximize the number of housing units in Islamabad.
For the unversed, CDA started Kurri Model Village 14 years back consisting of 4,700 residential and commercial plots awarded as compensation to those whose land had been acquired by the civic body for construction of compost plant and landfill site as well as Park Enclave Housing scheme.
