ISLAMABAD – Persistent dry weather will cause gradual increase in daytime temperatures in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan during the week.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, mainly hot and dry weather is predicted in most parts of the country on Monday evening/night and the following two days. However, partly cloudy weather with light rain-thunderstorm may occur at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan. As no significant rain-giving system is approaching the country, day temperatures are likely to increase gradually in plain areas.

Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 35-37 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 36-38 C on Wednesday.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 35-37 C on Tuesday and 36-38 C on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, Dalbandin received 02 mm rain.

Nawabshah, Mohenjo-Daro and Jacobabad remained the hottest places in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43 C.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 56 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 40 per cent.
