ISLAMABAD – Intermittent rains with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Saturday and Sunday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely approach upper parts of the country tomorrow.
Under these weather conditions, intermittent rains with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and at isolated places in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday and Sunday.
Rains are also expected at isolated places in south Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, and northeast Punjab.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Saturday and 33-35°C on Sunday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 32-34°C on Saturday and 31-33°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
Nawabshah remained the hottest place in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Maximum temperature in Mohenjo-Daro, Dadu, Sibbi, Nokkundi, Khairpur and Padidan was recorded at 41°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 73 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 40 per cent.
