ISLAMABAD – Intermittent rains with isolated heavy falls and gusty winds are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate southern & eastern parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country.
Under these conditions, intermittent rains and gusty winds are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Potohar region, northeast Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday. Heavy falls may also occur at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Potohar region.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 30-32°C on Tuesday and 33-35°C on Wednesday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Tuesday and 32-34°C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, scattered rains occurred in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Nokkundi remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43°C. The maximum temperature in Chillas was recorded at 41°C, and Dalbandin at 40°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 82 per cent.
