Islamabad, Pakistan weather update; rains likely in upper parts

ISLAMABAD – Intermittent rains and gusty winds are likely in parts of Pakistan on Sunday night and Monday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over western Balochistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Under these weather conditions, rains and gusty winds are likely at isolated places in Southwest Balochistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan on Sunday night.

On Monday, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rains and gusty winds are likely at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Monday and 32-34°C on Tuesday.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Monday and 32-34°C on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rains occurred at isolated places.

Sibbi remained the hottest place in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. The maximum temperature in Dalbandin, Nokkundi and Turbat was recorded at 39°C.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 53 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 38 per cent.
