KARACHI – An Iranian airline has started direct flights to Pakistan to facilitate pilgrims, the business community, and the general public.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, the Iranian counsul general, and Tabar Air authorities inaugurated the services during a ceremony at the Karachi airport.
The inaugural flight took off from the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, with 80 passengers on board, and landed at Mashhad.
Taban Air will initially operate one flight every week and it will be increased later keeping in view the demand.

Last month, Malaysia’s Batik Air started its flight operation between Karachi and Kuala Lumpur. Previously, the airline was operating on the Lahore route only.
Azerbaijan’s national airline – AZAL –has also launched a direct flight operation to Pakistan to boost tourism.
