IPH, VUP to promote preventive health

Institute of Public Health (IPH) and Virtual University Pakistan (VUP) will collaborate and facilitate each other’s students as well as the teachers in strengthening/improving their academic qualification, Research and Education and capacity building & training of the staff.
Both the institutions will extend help to promote preventive health. In this connection, a MoU was inked on Monday between IPH and VUP, here at Birdwood Road.
IPH Board of Management Chairman Khalid Maqbool and VUP Rector Naseem Tariq signed the MoU. IPH Dean Prof Dr Zarfishan Tahir and VUP Dean Prof Dr Masroor Elahi Bashir also signed the documents.
While addressing the ceremony, Khalid Maqbool said that IPH was endeavouring hard to promote preventive health and spread the health message amongst the masses, for which the institute was expanding collaboration with national as well as international universities, educational institutions and WHO to share each other experiences and launch joint programmes of research and development in health sector.
