Pakistanis are facing slow internet services and disruptions in social media sites on Saturday evening, as former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is holding a virtual jalsa (meeting).
Internet monitoring site Netblocks reported a massice disruption of social media platforms and internet over the weekends as PTI held a virtual event aheads of elections.
It mentioned that the incident came as Imran Khan’s party, PTI, launched its second virtual Jalsa.

A lot of people took to social media, saying that they were facing slowed services. Some people said the internet was working fine for them after turning on proxy services, while other lambasted authorities.
