KARACHI – The government of Sindh has announced loans for agricultural students, with lower interest rates and flexible repayment options.
The provincial government announced plan to provide interest-free loans to students studying the Agricultural University Tando Jam. The varsity’s Department of Agriculture will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures to ensure the loans are distributed efficiently to students.
Sardar Bakhsh Mehr, the Minister of Agriculture in Sindh, said these loans aim to empower young agricultural students by easing their financial burden, enabling them to start their own agricultural businesses after graduation.
Minister Mehr further emphasized importance of addressing climate change in agriculture, highlighting its significant impact on the sector. He stressed the need for educated and innovative individuals in agriculture to address these challenges and promote sustainable practices.
Furthermore, Minister Mehr mentioned “Hari Card” project by the Sindh government in the coming days. This project is part of broader efforts to support the agricultural community by providing various benefits and resources to farmers across the region.
