Terming present era as “Information Era”, Minister for Information, Tourism, Sports and Youth Affairs Raja Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas has said that Information has become the most important element for progress in society. He expressed these views while talking to the officers and staff of the Information Department during his visit to the Directorate General Information and Public Relation (DGPR) here on Tuesday. The Minister urged the staff to stay updated in changing media landscape evolving an effective system to timely feed the media houses regarding government activities, through news, pictures, packages and tickers. He said that officers of the department should highlight the developmental as well as other social welfare activities of the government rather projecting themselves.
