Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, Convener of APHC-AJK chapter, has said that Indian troops have intensified the killing of unarmed Kashmiri youth during so-called cordon and search operations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Mahmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad said the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not go waste, and India would have to submit itself to the genuine demand of right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
The APHC-AJK leader said that Indian troops were committing genocide of Kashmiri Muslims in order to turn the Muslim-majority identity of occupied Kashmir into a minority. He urged India to abandon its oppressive policies and resolve the Kashmir dispute by giving the people their right to self-determination. He said that despite Indian brutalities, New Delhi has failed suppress the freedom movement in IIOJK.
India demanded the release of detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders, including Masarrat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Aasiya Andrabi and thousands of Kashmiri youth from Indian jails. Mahmood Ahmad Sagar called on the international community and the UN Security Council to take note of the inhumane treatment meted out to the Kashmiri people by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.
