Indian social worker gives award to girl of her native village

Anjam Altaf who is a professor in Lahore visited Shahidanwali and gave “distinguished student award 2020” to Areba on behalf of Professor Kamla Bhasin, who grabbed the first position in Matric in Government Girls Secondary School Shahidanwali. In this connection, a simple ceremony was held attended by the school staff and students.
Mrs. Kamla Bhasin was born in 1946 at Shahidanwali, a suburban village of Mandi Bahauddin. In 1947 on the partition of India-Pakistan, her parents migrated to India. She is a renowned poet, writer, and social worker.
She requested one of her contacts in Lahore prof Anjam Altaf to visit her native village Shahidanwali and give the award plus Rs 50000 to a girl of the village securing the first position in her school.
