ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan challenged his indictment in a case related to controversial US cipher.
Reports said the PTI chief, who is incarcerated in Adiala Jail on judicial remand in cipher case, filed the petition through his lawyers Salman Safdar and Khalid Yousaf.
Making the state as a party in the case, the former premier said the charges should be framed after seven days of distributing copies of the case to all parties but in this case the trial court ignored it.
He argued that the court indicted him in haste, adding that there were no instruction from higher judiciary for conducting hearing on daily basis.
The PTI chief said the trail in haste would affect the basic rights and pleaded the IHC to declared Oct 23 proceedings of the Official Secrets Act court null and void.
