The Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Arsenio Dominguez, paid a visit to the Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA) in Karachi on Saturday. The visit coincided with his participation in the International Maritime Sustainability Exhibition and Conference (IMSEC) being held in the city.
Accompanied by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh, Dominguez was welcomed with a guard of honor upon his arrival at the academy.
During his visit, the IMO Secretary General expressed admiration for the professionalism of Pakistan’s Merchant Navy, acknowledging its contributions to global maritime affairs.
The visit highlights the ongoing collaboration between Pakistan and the IMO, further cementing Pakistan’s role in international maritime sustainability and development efforts.
