Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi in his message on Youm-e-Ashura has said that Nawasa-e-Rasool Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) along with his family members and companions embarrassed martyrdom for the sake of truth.
The incident of Karbala is the story of the supremacy of truth. Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) has given us the eternal lesson to stand steadfast in the face of oppression. Nawasa-e-Rasool Hazrat Imam Hussain kept the religion of Islam alive by not bowing down before falsehood.
The martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) is the voice of revolution which will continue to be raised in every era. Mohsin Naqvi said that the life of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) conveys the message that one should endure all the trials and difficulties which come in the way of truth. The battle between right and wrong in Karbala sends a message that no sacrifice should be spared for the promoting the highest values and principles of Islam.
Moreover, Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi visited Punjab Safe City Authority on Friday to review digital monitoring of the security plan of Youm-e-Ashura Muharram-ul-Haram. Surveillance of processions and Majalis of 9th and 10th Muharram-ul-Haram is being carried out through 8624 cameras 24/7.
Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the monitoring arrangements of the processions of Muharram-ul-Haram through CCTV cameras and inspected the routes of processions on the Digital Wall and monitored the surveillance process for the foolproof security of processions through CCTV cameras. Mohsin Naqvi met with the police communication officers and with the staff members of other departments being deputed for monitoring and urged them to perform their duties with more hard work.
MD Punjab Safe City Authority Kamran Khan while giving a briefing to the CM about the monitoring arrangements of the processions of 9th and 10th Muharram apprised that all necessary places have been covered with additional portable cameras. Police communication officers and technical teams are performing their duties 24 hours from the Safe City Operation and Monitoring Centre.
CM Mohsin Naqvi while talking with the media persons after visiting the Safe City Authority said that 6500 cameras of Safe City Authority are functional in Lahore. Earlier only 2000 cameras were functional and now 6500 cameras are functional.
Monitoring through further 1500 cameras of District government is being carried out with regard to Muharram-ul-Haram while 624 special cameras have also been installed.
The Punjab Government is fully vigilant to fulfill its duties regarding Ashura. Mohsin Naqvi revealed that Caretaker Provincial Ministers are present in the field for monitoring the arrangements of Ashura Muharram.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that WASA has been issued alert warning in view of possible rainfall and has been directed that water should not accumulate on the procession routes.
9 days of Muharram-ul-Haram have passed peacefully and InshaAllah Youm-e-Ashura will also pass peacefully. Mohsin Naqvi said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) has given us the message of unity adding that we all have to work with unity and have to ensure peaceful environment.
The administration and police are fully performing their duties with vigilance and dedication. CS, IG Police, ACS (Home), Commissioner Lahore Division, CCPO Lahore, Deputy Commissioner Lahore and officials of PSCA were also present on the occasion.
