IGP pays homage to martyred cops

Punjab Inspector General of Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan on Friday paid homage to the police personnel who were martyred by pelting of stones by violent protesters of the banned organization in Lahore.

The IGP said that the martyred officer and official are the pride of the department and the nation will always remember their sacrifices.

He added that Head Constable Ayub and Constable Khalid Javed have set a high example of dutifulness by embracing martyrdom while on duty. He directed that no effort should be spared to bring those responsible for the incident to justice.

The IG Police further said that Punjab Police would not spare any sacrifice in future for protection of life and property of people.

The eternal sacrifices of the brave grandsons who got martyred in the line of duty would always be remembered, he added. He directed Addl IG Welfare and Finance to take immediate steps for the betterment of the families of the martyrs and ensure provision of best medical facilities to the injured.
