Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited the National Hockey Stadium and met Dutch hockey team players, players of Higher Education Commission teams and other leading personalities Hockey fans raised slogans of Punjab Police Zindabad after watching the IG Punjab Dr. Usman in the stadium. Dutch Hockey and Higher Education Commission teams dedicated the hockey match played at the National Stadium in the name of the police martyrs.
IG Punjab appreciated the efforts of legendary hockey player Khawaja Junaid for organizing a tribute match for police martyrs. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the Punjab Police is trying to protect the life and propertirs of the people as well as promote positive activities among the youth, PSL and the visit of the Dutch hockey team are highlighting the peaceful and positive image of Pakistan at the international level.
IG Punjab said that Punjab Police has a long association with sports, many international famous players including Fazal Mehmood, Munir Dar have been part of the police. IG Punjab said that the police sports board has given its athletes a target to win more medals in the upcoming national sports competitions than the Punjab government. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the visits of sports teams from other European countries including China will continue in the future. IG Punjab further said that Punjab Police has signed an MOU with Khawaja Junaid Hockey Academy for the promotion of hockey and the patronage of young players. Police athletes have won many medals and honors in domestic and foreign level sports competitions. Moreover, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited the Tahafuz Darsgah constructed for education of transgender in Jalo area of Lahore.
