Reconstituted board of Ignite held its kick off meeting under the chairmanship of Mr. Shabahat Ali Shah, Executive Director, National Information Technology Board (NITB). A public private board governs Ignite; among the 6 ex-officio office bearers in the Federal Government Mr. Shabahat Ali Shah, ED NITB, Mr. Jawad Paul, Additional Secretary, Mr. Syed Junaid Imam, Member IT and Member Telecom are from Ministry of IT & Telecom, while Dr. Nawaz Ahmad, Financial Adviser (IT) represents Finance Division and Major General (R) Amir Azeem Bajwa is Chairman PTA.
Mr. Aamir Hafeez Ibrahim, CEO Jazz, Mr. Khawaja Saad Saleem, MD Nayatel (Pvt) Limited, Mr. Danish Ali Lakhani, CEO Cyber Internet Services (Pvt) Limited are amongst the nominees of cellular, data service providerand fixed line licensees respectively. Mr. Zia ul Mustafa Awan, CFO & Business Administrator, Pakistan Expo Centres Pvt. Ltd joins the Ignite Board as representative of corporate management executive.Whereas Dr. Faisal Ahmad Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor, Baluchistan University of IT, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) and Dr. Shahid Qureshi, Program Director, Center for Entrepreneurial Development, IBA are amongst the nominations made by the scientific and academic community.
