Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has a prominent position in the power sector due to its stable power distribution system which is mainly due to timely upgradation and maintenance of distribution system which ensures uninterrupted power supply and It also leads towards a significant reduction in tripping and faults occurring on the system.
According to details provided by Spokesman IESCO Annual system maintenance program has been started and power shut down schedule has been issued for all operation circles i.e Islamabad Rawalpindi city Rawlpindi Cantt Attock Jhelum and Chakwal.
During annual system maintenance program overhauling of power transformers installed in more than 114 grid stations will be carried out. Further over loaded 11 kv feeders and distribution transformers will also be balanced, bushes and trees close to HT and LT lines will also be trimmed. Lose conductors and tilted Poles will also be managed
IESCO spokesman further briefed that chief Engineer operation Muhammad Aslam khan will supervise whole activities and in message to all field formations Muhammad Aslam khan has emphasized that staff safty by using all T&P items must be ensured while working on power lines and during shut downs relevant Executive Engineer, Sub Divisional Officer and line supritendend will ensure their presence at site. He also directed timely power shut downs information on feeders to valuable customers must be ensured by utilizing all communication platforms i.e. print electronic and social media and by also making announcements from mosques so that consumers could manage their activities according to power shut down schedule.
