Pakistan Meteoro logical Department (PMD) Wednesday forecast mainly hot and dry weather for most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
However, rain-wind-thundershower is expected at isolated places in lower Sindh, northeast Punjab, Kashmir and its adjoining areas.
According to the synoptic situation, weak monsoon currents were penetrating southern parts of the country. A weak westerly wave was also present over north western parts of the country.
The rainfall recorded during the last 24 hours was Islamkot 21mm, Diplo 17, Mithi 13, Hyderabad (Airport 12, City 07), Shaheed Benazirabad 12, Badin 08, Kloi 05, Sakrand 03, Thatta, Nawabshah 01mm.
The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the period were Turbat 44 C, Lasbela and Sibbi 42 C.
The local Met Office has forecast a hot and dry weather for next 24 hours in the city. The highest maximum temperature 36 centigrade and the lowest minimum 25 centigrade were recorded during last 24 hours. The hot and dry weather has also been forecast for rest of the region.—APP
