Hot, dry weather expected

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twenty-four hours. Temperature of major cities recorded Thursday morning. Islamabad and Muzafarabad twenty-two degree centigrade, Lahore thirty, Karachi thirty-one, Peshawar twenty-two, Quetta sixteen, Gilgit fifteen and Murree seventeen degree centigrade.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula while hot and dry weather in Jammu. Temperature recorded this morning: Srinagar and Anantnag fifteen degree centigrade, Jammu twenty-seven, Leh seven, Pulwama and Shopian fourteen and Baramula sixteen degree centigrade. Meanwhile the local Met Office predicted dry and very hot weather for the city for the next 24 hours.

The current heat wave has forced people to live indoors in Bahawalpur, as the highest maximum temperature was recorded at 48 degrees Celsius in the region on Thursday.—INP
