PML-N central leader Ahsan Iqbal, speaking at a workers’ convention in Narowal, made a series of statements regarding the upcoming general elections and the PTI government. He claimed that the guarantees of the PTI would be confiscated in the next elections. Iqbal also praised the people of Pakistan for thwarting what he referred to as a conspiracy on May 9, when he alleged that PTI attacked the army, and he credited the public with saving Pakistan’s nuclear program.

Ahsan Iqbal expressed his intention to challenge the PTI’s hold on power in the upcoming election, stating that the party aimed to become a more prominent figure than the state of Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of preserving the nation’s values over any individual or political entity. Iqbal also highlighted that a rally was being held to welcome their leader, Nawaz Sharif, back to the country and suggested that it was the beginning of their election campaign.—INP
