The Agriculture Department of the tribal district South Waziristan on Tuesday distributed Hybrid Maize Seeds to the growers of the tribal district to enhance Agricultural production under the ADP Scheme of “Promotion of Agriculture and Horticul-tural activities in the merged areas 2020-2021”.
In this connection, a launching ceremony of the program was organized at the District Directorate of Agriculture South Waziristan which was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) South Waziristan Kashmir Khan, Officials of Agriculture department and a good number of farmers.
District Director Agriculture Dr Muhammad Anwar Khan Bitani oriented the farmers about the effective utilization of Hybrid Maize Seeds.
He diverted the attention of the participants towards conscious sow-ing of Hybrid Seeds saying the Seeds were chemi-cally sprayed for protection against the potential diseases.
