Govt to promote electrical vehicles to reduce environmental pollution

Provincial Minister for Industries and CommerceJam Ikramullah Dharejo, accompanied by Secretary Industries and CommerceMuhammad Yasin Shar Baloch, have visited Yousuf Dewan Companies qnd hada meeting with Chairman of the group, Dewan Muhammad Yousuf Farooqui,Group CEO Automotive Dr. Usman Hayat and others.The meeting focused on the revival of the national economy, its impacton the automotive industry, and the launch of electrical vehicles inPakistan.Provincial Minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo discussed various aspects ofindustrial development with Dewan Muhammad Yousuf Farooqui, includinginfrastructure, workforce, and market competitiveness.They explored ways to stimulate economic growth, create employmentopportunities and enhance the industry’s contribution to the nationaleconomy.

Jam Ikramullah Dharejo emphasized the government’s commitmentto supporting industrial growth and development, highlightinginitiatives to improve the business environment, facilitate investment,and promote innovation.

He also viewed the Dewan KIA Shehzore LCV truck, a locally manufacturedvehicle by Dewan Muhammad Farooque Motors Limited at theirstate-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Dewan City, District Thatta,demonstrating the capabilities of Pakistan’s automotive industry. Heexpressed appreciation for the industry’s resilience and potential forgrowth.The meeting also discussed the launch of electrical vehicles, includingthe Honeri VE fully electric car, in Pakistan, a significant steptowards a sustainable and environmentally friendly transportationsector. The Minister expressed the government’s support for thisinitiative, highlighting its potential to reduce carbon emissions andpromote eco-friendly transportation.
