Minister for Environmental Protection Muhammad Rizwan has said that government was taking all necessary steps to monitor the environmental pollution while promotion of electric vehicle much needed to tackle pollution issues.
He was addressing the concluding session of two-day theater competition held at Lahore College for Women University. It was attended by a large number of students from various universities, representatives of the human rights department, Sirajuddin Drama Society, civil society and students.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza while highlighting the importance of the event said that extra-curricular activities along with education are very important for the students while the students had highlighted important social issues through their performances.
Addressing the participants, Muhammad Rizwan said that the EPD conducted a study in collaboration with SPARCO to find out the real causes of environmental pollution, working with the World Bank on the Punjab Green Development Project to enhance the capacity building of the department.
