LAHORE –  Former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhary predicted that it is quite hard for the incumbent government to complete even the five months period.

“It will be a major thing if the government came into power through Form 47 completes even the five months’ time,” said Fawad Chaudhary while talking to the reporters during his appearance before an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore on Monday (today).

He stated that everyone in Pakistan had apprehension of being arrested at any time.

“I came out of jail for four times. God will bless us,” said the former federal minister. He said that keeping Imran Khan in jail would not resolve all the issues, pointing out the great need to lower the political temperature.

“Set Imran Khan free for this purpose, so the country could move forward. Because this is Form 47 government and it is quite hard for it to complete even five months,” he added.

On the other hand, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted interim bail to Fawad Chaudhary in four different cases linked with the May 9 riots, and stopped the police from arresting him till April 20.

Hiba Fawad, the wife of the former federal minister, also accompanied him during his appearance before the court for bail. The court directed the police to come up with the record on the next date of hearing.

Before Eid, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) allowed transit-bail of Fawad Chaudhary in 22 different cases. The court had barred the police from arresting Fawad Chaudhary for three weeks and directed him to approach the relevant courts.
