Says RUDA initiative to project Pakistan’s strong investment potential globally

Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Tuesday said that the PTI has steered the country out of economic crisis and taking it towards development and prosperity as every effort is being made to improve the quality of life of the people.
Addressing a press conference along with LDA Vice Chairman SM Imran and RUDA Chairman Imran Amin here, she said the Ravi River City project is a huge initiative that will provide job opportunities to hundreds of thousands of youth.
Dr. Firdous alleged the former government of looting national resources in the name of development and as a result, the resourceful Punjab province has been bankrupted.
The so-called Sharif family of Jati Umra minted money from every project and their cronies also made hay while the sun of corruption shines in their era, she added.
The SACM said the economic development of historic city of Lahore succumbed to a spate of corruption in the past and as a result, it faced huge problems.
The resources were wasted on some specific projects and the corrupt mafia looted the country for 10 long years.
On the other side, PM Imran Khan is a custodian of resources and he is personally monitoring the affairs of RUDA, she said.
Dr Firdous said the financial bid of RUDA has been opened a few days ago and is awarded to the successful bidders after fulfilling formalities.
The bidding process for the development of the first phase of ‘Saphire Bay’ has been completed.
This project is important for boosting the economy by providing job opportunities and attracting investment, adding that this is a journey towards positive change, she said.
She said several electricity feeders tripped yesterday due to inclement weather.
Actually, the system of electricity distribution is also imperative along with electricity generation.
Responding to a question, the SACM said the government will soon disclose salient features of the public transport project before the people to highlight its high cost and high recurring expenditures.
The people will be astonished to know the corruption of Shehbaz Sharif in the transport sector.
The government is going to disclose corruption stories in the coming days along with the finance minister as PTI is the custodian of government money, she maintained.
She said that RUDA is linked with the fate of the people. No PTI member is interested in political destabilization and party officials cannot detach themselves from the ideology of PM Imran Khan. The reservations of some party members will be removed soon, she assured.
To another question, Dr. Firdous said the report is not linked with any particular person or mill owner as Ali Zafar has been assigned with the legal aspects of the technical report. The recommendations will be implemented as per the law.
No one is allowed to point fingers at the religious beliefs of others and parliamentarians are needed to be very careful in this regard.
The squabble between the two personalities will be ended in a draw soon and the religious beliefs cannot be sacrificed at the altar of some fanatic approach, concluded the SACM.
