The Sindh government, under the leadership of Senior Minister SharjeelInamMemon, has decided to launch decisive actions against drug trafficking. This decision was made during an important meeting with the officers of the Excise Narcotics Control Wing, chaired by Minister SharjeelInamMemon. In the meeting, Minister Memon was briefed on the ongoing operations against drugs across the province. He instructed the Narcotics Control officers to carry out daily, stringent, and decisive actions against drug traffickers. “Drug traffickers have become a cancer to society and will not be forgiven under any circumstances,” stated SharjeelInamMemon. Minister Memon expressed concern over the increasing supply and use of drugs in both urban and rural areas, calling it alarming. He emphasized the need for decisive, strict, and effective actions against drugs in every city and town.
“The police will always be ready to assist the excise teams,” he added. SharjeelInamMemon reiterated that the Sindh government’s policy against drugs is based on zero tolerance. “No leniency will be shown to any criminal involved in drug trafficking,” he affirmed. He also called for strengthening the prosecution of cases to ensure that drug traffickers are brought to justice and stressed the importance of tightening the checking system at interprovincial borders. “The Sindh government aims for the best possible results in the fight against drugs,” concluded SharjeelInamMemon.
