Govt committed to ensure welfare of common man: Buzdar Punjab govt introduced minorities’ empowerment package

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Managing Director Aon Abbas Buppi on Wednesday met with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
Speaking on the occasion, Usman Buzdar said, “It is our responsibility to minimize the problems of the common man.”
Focus of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was welfare of a common man, CM said.
He said the horizon of ‘Panagah’ project would be expanded in all cities adding that it was a unique project of the incumbent government to provide shelter to those people who spend nights on roads.
Usman Buzdar said, “kind behaviour is a biggest source of promoting brotherhood in the society.” He said loving humanity actually creates easiness in life adding that under ‘Ehsas’ programme the needs of needy-people were being fulfilled.
Chief Minister said that Bait-ul-Mal was rendering remarkable services. He said that it was support for the people who had less financial resources.
Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal MD apprised the chief minister about the efforts made for the deserving people.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Wednesday extended Christmas greetings to the christian community.
In his message issued here, he said, “Birthday of Hazrat Esa (AS) is not only sacred occasion for the Christians but for Muslims as well.”
He said that the occasion of Christmas provides an opportunity to promote unity and love, adding that the role of Christian community for the progress and prosperity of the country was undoubtedly commendable.
He said, “Promotion of brotherhood, tolerance, harmony, love and affection is the essence of the teachings of Hazrat Essa (AS).”
He said the incumbent government had taken solid steps for the welfare of the minorities besides increasing job quota for them.
Usman Buzdar said, “Constitution of the country gives complete religious freedom and equal rights to all the minorities living in the country.”
The chief minister reiterated that the PTI government is following the policy of providing equal opportunities to all the minorities. He pointed out that non-Muslim Pakistanis have proved their mettle and brought laurels home with their wonderful performance in sports, education and other sectors of life.
The chief minister said that Punjab government has introduced minority’s empowerment package along with the provision of crores of rupees for students scholarships on minority’s quota. December 25 is also important as it is the birthday of the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he added.
He said being a true Pakistani, people belonging to different religious backgrounds should play their due role for the progress and prosperity of the country.
