Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has assured to support the Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association (PCMA) and said that the government has introduced comprehensive policies for development and promotion of local chemical industry.
Governor Chaudhry Sarwar was addressing the Annual General Meeting of PCMA held at Governor House here. PCMA newly-elected Chairman Mr. Zafar Mahmood, Senior Vice Chairman Mr. Mubashir Ahmed and Vice Chairman Mr. Imran Qureshi, Outgoing Chairman Mr. Abrar Ahmed, Mr. Zubair Tanveer Tufail, Outgoing Senior Vice Chairman, Mr. Zafar Qidwai, Outgoing Vice Chairman and Mr. Iqbal Kidwia, Secretary General of PCMA also addressed the AGM.
The Punjab governor assured the chemical manufacturers of his full support to raise voice for development of Chemical industry. He acknowledged that the chemical industry had not so far been given due attention by any government in the past. He hoped that he would be able to get favorable policy support from his government for the Chemical industry.
Earlier, Mr. Moshin Tariq, Mr. Haroon Ali Khan, Mr. Pervaiz Hussain Sufi, Mr. Muhammad Asghar, Chaudhry Iftikhar Bashir, Mr. Imran Qureshi Mr. Mubashir Ahmad and Mr. Zafar Mehmood were declared elected on the 8 vacant seats of PCMA. The Election Commission was comprised of Mr. Muhammad Inam Ullah, Mr. Khurram Sultan and Mr. Haris Eizad Sheikh.
Mr. Abrar Ahmad, Outgoing Chairman, in his address, highly applauded the visionary services rendered by Mr. Iqbal Kidwai as Secretary General of the Association.
The newly elected Chairman Mr. Zafar Mehmood wowed to undertake dedicated efforts for achieving the goals set by PCMA for development of the Chemical industry. Mr. Iqbal Kidwai, Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of the PCMA expressed gratitude to the members of PCMA for taking active part in election process and hoped this pace would be continued in future as well.
