Governor lauds vital role of PGGA for empowering women

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the Sifarish culture destroys institutions and that the present government is ensuring merit and transparency by cleansing the institutions from the culture of nepotism because it destroys the institutions.

He said we must work for the service of humanity. Our youth is our asset. We are working to provide them maximum facilities under Kamyab Jawan Program which is our top priority. He was addressing the event organised on International Day of thinking/ Girl Guides. Provincial Minister Sarwat Hameed and students from different colleges attended the event. During the function Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar cut cake and planted saplings along with participants in connection with the day of thinking.

Addressing the function, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that he is happy that Pakistan Girls Guides Association (PGGA) Punjab has become a prestigious organization which has been playing a vital role in empowering women as well as building their character. So that they can better serve the welfare of their home and country. He further said that just as boys are behind girls in matters of education, Girl Guides have outshined Boy Scouts. Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah served as the patron of Girl Guides Association Pakistan. By making her personality a role model, women can make progress. With the services of Girl Guides, Pakistan can become prosperous.

Governor Punjab said that human and environmental survival depends on mutual cooperation. Over time, although climate change is affecting all of us, women are facing the most problems due to these changes. He further said that we all have a responsibility to work together for the betterment of the environment and for the betterment of mankind, because mutual cooperation is the only way to achieve a goal. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that he hoped that the Pakistan Girl Guide Association would continue its dedication and passion for empowering women and building their character. We will cooperate and the doors of Governor House are always open for you.
