KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan dropped by Rs1,700 per tola on Thursday after registering gains in three previous sessions to hit all-time high level.
According to Sarafa Association, the gold price decreased by Rs1,700 to close at Rs250,200 in Pakistan as compared to previous day’s rate f Rs251,900 per tola. The rate of 10-gram gold dropped by Rs1,458 to reach Rs214,506.
In international market, gold also lost its shine as per ounce price dipped by $17 to close at $2,395.
On April 17, gold rates in Pakistan jumped to another all-time high on Wednesday amid unrest in Middle East.
Data shared by Sarafa Association shows rate of gold 24 carats increased by Rs2,200 per tola and Rs1,887 per 10 grams to reach Rs251,900 and Rs215,964, respectively. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also showed a surge to trade at Rs197,967.
