Girl, alleged ‘paramour’ gunned down

A girl along with her alleged paramour was shot dead in a katchi abadi near railway crossing in the limits of Faisalabad Factory Area Police on Sunday.

According to police, dead bodies of 28-year-old Ishfaq and 18-year-old Mehwish were shifted to the mortuary of Allied Hospital for the post-mortem.

The police point out that the girl’s body was found from the rooftop of her house while that of Ishfaq from courtyard of the house.

The police officials informed that the man had allegedly travelled from Chichawatni to see the girl in Faisalabad.

The police have started investigation to ascertain motive of the killings and unfold more fact about the incident.

According to police sources, family of the deceased Ishfaq back in Chichawatni has been informed about his death.

Meanwhile, two persons were killed following a scuffle during a football match in Bhagowali area of Faisalabad, police said on Sunday.

The police said a group of men attacked their opponents outside their homes after their children had a fight during a football match.

Resultantly, two persons died on the spot and another man sustained critical injuries who is said to be in critical condition hospital. The police have registered a case and are carrying out raids for arrest of the attackers.
