Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday said that the so-called proponents of “giving respect to vote” have blatantly violated the sanctity of right to vote in the Islamabad Senate election.

“It is, in fact, the triumph of dirty money over democratic rights.”
The chief minister maintained that every advocate of democracy is ashamed of what happened in the Senate election in Islamabad.

Regrettably, the PDM played havoc with the democratic norms and all moral values were mercilessly molested through a cruel monitory game, he lamented.

The sellers of human conscience have booted out every democratic principle and it is not the failure of Abdul Hafeez Sheikh but every politician believing in democracy, the CM insisted.

In fact, those making a dacoity over the election process, by acting as traders, have besmirched themselves, he repeated.

The CM asserted that the doubts of the PM Imran Khan about the Senate election have proved correct and his announcement of taking a vote of confidence is an audacious decision of a fearless leader.

The PTI has waged Jihad against mafias and the political traders are worthless before a guanine leader like Imran Khan, concluded the CM.
Meanwhile, due to the official engagements of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar the inauguration of Jashan-e-Baharan-2021 has been postponed.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has paid tributes to the courage and bravery of Constable Jalil Haider who embraced martyrdom while combating dacoits in DG Khan.

The CM has extended sympathies to the heirs adding that the government salutes Jalil Haider who sacrificed his life in the line of duty.

He is a pride of the Punjab police; the CM added and sought a report from RPO DG Khan.

Meanwhile, the Executive Committee of Punjab Public Private Partnership Authority approved Project Development Facility (PDF) funding requests for project development of six projects under PPP mode. Estimated cost of the projects is Rs30 billion.

The approved projects are Multan Ring Road, Rehabilitation/Improvement of Kharian–Dinga Road, Dualization of Gujranwala-Pasrur Road, Dualization of Gujranwala-Hafizabad Road, Expo-Center at M-3 Industrial City Faisalabad and Parking plaza at Jhika Gali, Murree.

The project development facility funding was approved in the 7th meeting of Executive Committee of Punjab PPP Authority held on 3rd March 2021, chaired by Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Economic Affairs & P&D to hire Transaction Advisory Services for development of PPP project proposals.

The projects will have connectivity for economic growth and the proposed road sector projects will strengthen and widen existing structures; construct new pavements and bypasses; improve junctions; and introduce road safety features” said Dr. Salman Shah Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on EA & P&D.

While addressing the session, Dr. Salman Shah emphasized that construction of multipurpose parking plaza near Murree GPO/Mall road will cater the traffic congestion and Punjab govt has also planned to develop similar kind of projects all over Punjab to meet growing demands of parking needs.
