GB govt to plant 1m trees under ‘Clean, Green Pakistan Programme

Under the Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Pakistan Programme, the district administration GB with the collaboration of forest department has launched a tree plantation campaign. The campaign is going on to plant one million trees.

Addressing to the participants Assistant Commissioner Captain (R) Osama Majeed Cheema said that we have announced a master plan for tree planting in the city.

Through this we will plant one million trees in Gilgit city. Government of GB distrusting free plants to people for plantation, beauty can be enhanced to plan more trees he added.

Assistant Commissioner appealed to people for cooperation with the district administrations, municipal corporations and the forest department to make the tree planting campaign successful.

The administrator said that special attention needed to cleanliness and keep the city save from pollution.

Other responsible agencies are working hard for the success of the Bhal Safai campaign.

People need to participate, take care plants, and pay more attention to make the sanitation campaign success added spoke person.
