Four students of IMCG F-7/2, IMCG F-7/4 receive Rs 50,000 each for showing excellence in studies

Azra Raza Award continues to inspire generations

The prestigious AzraRaza Award Ceremony was held at the IMCG (PG) Margalla College, F-7/4 to honor outstanding students in their studies and to boost the morale of the students.

Renowned media personality, Sultana Siddiqui was the chief guest on the occasion while founder of the Mass Communication Department and former teacher at the college and the acclaimed writer MrsQaisraAlvi, former principal of the Margalla College and a highly respected educationist Prof (R) FarhatMujtaba were among the guests of honour.

Ms. Ayesha Kiyani, Principal of IMCG (PG) Margalla College, F-7/4, welcomed the guests including Dr. FouziaTanveer, Principal of IMCG (PG) F-7/2 College, Mrs. RashidaSaleemi, MrsAsifJahan and MrsShaheenRasheed.

Chief guest Sultana Siddiqui in her address on the occasion paid rich tributes to DrAzraRaza a former student of the IMCG and a renowned American Pakistani oncologist and a great scholar and narrator of Urdu classical poetry for establishing the award for the students of her alma mater.

Siddiqui also acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the teachers and principals of both the colleges IMCG F-7/2 and IMCG F-7/4 (which used to be one college at the time of AzraRaza) for continuing the legacy of the college’s former student and a renowned US-Pakistani medic.

No doubt AzraRaza is a role model for the women of Pakistan and her endeavours are helping realize the dream of empowerment of women in economic and social fields and in science & research, etc.
