Four persons were killed in a scuffle broke out among members of the Sargani clan in Rajanpur, the police said on Thursday.
According to police, the incident took place in Kotla Qaim area of Rajanpur in the limits of Sadr Police.
The police officials informed that some members of the Sargani clan indulged in a brawl over some issue, which heated up.
During the ugly episode, they used sharp-edged weapons, which left four persons fatal inured. They, however, breathed their last before any medical aid could be made available to them.
Some members of the clan also sustained injuries in the fight, the police added. Identity of the deceased persons and injured could not be ascertained immediately.
Rajanpur DPO Faisal Gulzar claimed that the police teams have been formed to hunt down the killers. He assured that the culprits would be arrested soon and the affected families will be provided justice. The police have launched investigation into the incident.
On the other hand, the Punjab IG Police took notice of the incident and sought a report from DG Khan RPO in this regard. He directed the police to bring the culprit to the book.
Meanwhile, a youth was gunned down by unidentified assailants in the Bhatti gate area of the City. According to police, the youth identified as Waseem, 19, was sitting with his friend at juice shop when two unidentified persons, riding a bike appeared at the scene.
They fired gunshots on Waseem and the fled the scene in no time.
The police shifted the dead body to hospital for autopsy and started investigation to ascertain motive behind the killing. The police have registered a case against unidentified persons.
