KARACHI — A massive fire erupted in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony Number Three after an explosion in an oil and tyre shop.

The inferno quickly spread to neighboring shops, engulfing the area and trapping people inside a nearby residential building. Local authorities rushed to the scene to contain the fire, which had grown rapidly due to the highly flammable materials in the affected shops.

Rescue teams were summoned and are working to evacuate residents from the building. Eyewitnesses reported hearing loud explosion before seeing thick plumes of smoke rise from the area. Panic spread among locals as the fire began to spread uncontrollably, with nearby businesses and homes at risk.

Firefighters and emergency response teams are currently engaged in efforts to bring the blaze under control. There are no confirmed reports of casualties at this time, though the extent of the damage remains unclear.

Local officials have cordoned off the area, and an investigation is expected to be launched to determine the cause of the explosion. Residents are urged to stay clear of the scene as rescue operations continue.
