Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) on Monday extended once again the tenure of the Normalization Committee managing the affairs of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).
The term of the Normalization Committee led by Haroon Malik had expired yesterday.
However, FIFA has now extended its mandate until February 15.
In an email addressed to committee chairman Haroon Malik, a FIFA representative expressed hope that the Congress would approve amendments to the constitution in January.
Following this, the committee is expected to conduct elections by February 15 and hand over charge to the elected representatives.
The reports emerged a few days ago about another delay in the elections of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).
During an informal conversation at FIFA House, the chairman of the FIFA Normalization Committee and PFF president, Haroon Malik, stated that the committee supports providing equal opportunities to all stakeholders in football, including elected provincial presidents, for the election of the PFF president.
