FC College, Centre for Public Policy and Governance (CPPG) will join hands with Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) to provide expertise for designing competence based tests to evaluate the proficiency of students at the entry and exit level.
In this regard, an Memorandum of Understanding was signed here on Wednesday by TEVTA Chairperson Ali Salman Siddique and Founder Director CPPG FC College Prof Dr Saeed Shafqat. Besides, the CPPG faculty and schools, the ceremony was also attended by senior TEVTA hierarchy.
The MoU specifies CPPG to provide expertise in assessing, developing and designing competence based tests for TEVTA students and training to other stakeholders besides providing an opportunity to select TEVTA personnel for participating in round tables and other events contributing towards their capacity building.
Ali Salman said that TEVTA was being remodelled for bringing its courses in line with demand of prospective employers by running demand driven quality courses aimed at getting increased job opportunities, both locally and internationally, for its pass-outs.
He hoped that the MoU would facilitate TEVTA in initiating steps for improving the capacity and acceptability of TEVTA students in the job market, based on taking up recommendations formulated and steps suggested by CPPG.
Dr Saeed Shafqat said that CPPG was excited about contributing towards skill improvement of TEVTA students through conducting data assessment, providing expertise in assessing, developing and designing competence based tests and training etc to relevant stake holders of TEVTA.
